This is a great post when using the "Full International Circuit"... my favourite. For socialising purposes it's unsurpassed as it is close to delta 13 and the rescue unit and ambulance crews park there so there's loads of people to chat with (between races of course).
This bend is often taken almost as a straight but is very deceptive for drivers. Spectacular views of cars taking it at full tilt with loads of kerb and often ending up in the gravel trap on the right hand exit. It doesn't go pear-shaped for drivers here too often - but when it does, it goes big-time. This is also a fantastic spot for blue-flagging as there is plenty of time for flags to be displayed and seen as cars approach this bend on a slightly downhill straight. One tip, prepare for loads of oil treating as the kerbs here can do a lot of damage.
On the "National Circuit", however, this post is transformed as delta 13 is no longer required. The flagpost moves slightly to the tip of the bank, leaving the flagger exposed to all kinds of wind and weather. When marshalling this post on National Circuit note that the performance driving school is directly behind you and so you must be wary of friends/family of "students" trying to stand on the racing line, sit on the tyre walls and generally getting in your way.
