Old Hall

Parking

There are a couple of places to park at Old Hall.

The first is along the perimeter road, behind the guard wire. From your parking spot on the Start/Finish line, head round the circuit for no more than 50 metres, and there is a gate on the left-hand side of the track. Head through the gate and turn right along the (dirt) perimeter road. Park anywhere you can. Don't go past the obs box and into the field behind, as I've heard rumours that the gate is sometimes locked.

If the gate (on the start/finish straight) is locked, then take a scenic tour all the way around the circuit, and come off the track at the turn-in point at Lodge, and follow the perimeter road all the way behind the Lodge obs box, past the Portaloo, past the start/finish line and then you'll be in the same place as if the gate was open.

The second parking space is on the far corner of the paddock (the corner visible from the post, or put another way, the corner of the paddock from which you can see the post). When disembarked, just cross the track with your stuff.

For bike meetings, drive off the circuit at the end of the tyre wall on the exit from the bend (just past the 'out' flag point), through the first wide gap in the Armco, & park behind the Armco.

Spots

As always, this depends on the number of bodies available. Typically, there will be one gang infield, and a number of gangs dotted around along the outfield section; normally by the breaks in the armco.

Old Hall is actually quite a large post to work, as it extends from the end of the start/finish to the outfield part of the Avenue post, so some running may be involved.

Any of the outfield spots are good, and they all give a different view of what is quite a complex corner.

Ameneties

There are none! The trees are closest, and the nearest portaloo is back up the perimeter road about 200 metres.

At lunch-time, the paddock is very close.
