General Notes
|
The JCC runs races for all types of cars, not just Jaguars.
It was established in April 1988 and, according to the blurb in it's membership notes it is "encouraging its members to become involved in some aspect of motor sport." and "whether as a marshal, official or spectator, you will be equally welcome." | Added by AdamAshmore 08/08/2002 07:52

Speciality
Does this club concentrate on one particular circuit or type of racing?
|
It's called the Jaguar Car Club, but don't let this fool you. You are just as likely to see MG, TR and Alfa Romeo only races there too!
You should definitely see some close endurance racing.
They run the well established Tom Rowe (named after the club's original competitions secretary) Centurion Challenge. In this there are mainly Caterhams and Westfields battling it out for 100miles with 1 or 2 drivers per car. They also have a new for this year 100Km race series. This is more for 'metal' cars - saloons and sportscars. This also has it's own Jaguar class and you can see yours truly competing in this series in a XJS!
There is also no speciality in circuits either. This years events include, Snetterton, Oulton Park, Pembrey, Anglesey, Cadwell Park, Croft, Silverstone and Donington. | Added by AdamAshmore 08/08/2002 07:53

Now known as JCC Racing
For 2003 meetings (Donington, Pembrey, Oulton, Snetterton & Mallory) seem to be concentrating on endurance racing.
Around 5 races at each event made up of a 90 minuter, a couple of 45 minuters and the odd 15 min race - great entertainment still! | Added by observer 11/06/2003 16:11

The October meeting at Mallory should be the best as it's a full TOP HAT event | Added by Evian 26/08/2003 13:38

Organisation
Organisation and professionalism on the day, and in dealing with your queries.

Marshal's View
|
One of the smaller clubs we work with but most definately the most generous - they give each volunteer marshal £10 for their troubles!
Also a great supporter of the BMMC for many years.
A guarenteed great days racing | Added by observer 03/01/2003 13:54
