SMRC run all club race meetings at Knockhill and also this year run a combined meeting with BARC as well as having an involvement through certain SMRC classes being run at the F3/GT and BTCC meetings in May and August respectively

SMRC runs all club events at Knockhill but also runs away rounds for this years' championships at Croft, Oulton Park, Mallory Park, Silverstone and Kirkistown. The Scottish Autotrader Mini Cooper Cup also has rounds at Doune and Fintray as part of its content in 2005

It is the only club in Scotland that organises race meetings and has an outstanding heritage. The Club's Honorary President is Sir Jackie Stewart and it has Honorary Members including Allan McNish, John Cleland and David Leslie. Later this year David Coulthard will also join this elite band. The club has a wonderful array of trophies that it presents annually including the Border Motor Racing Club Trophy which was first won in 1957 by Jim Clark. The club holds an Annual Dinner Dance which is one of the finest in the UK and is regularly attended by the honorary members and many well known personalities from the UK racing scene.

The club holds an annual training day for all its dedicated marshals. It also organises a Marshals Fun Day at Knockhill at the end of each season where all marshals that attend a high percentage of the meetings throughout the year are able to drive Legends and XR2's supplied by competitors as well as being given circuit rides in other competitors cars.
