General Notes

The GMC is a friendly club with a membership of 80 (& growing). It is independent of but closely aligned with Goodwood Motor Circuit.
The Goodwood Marshals Club was formed by a group of part-time marshals who felt a club would promote a more sociable feeling and enable the marshals to pool their skills within the motor racing environment. Ted Croucher the full time track steward was asked to set the ball rolling and the inaugural meeting was convened in October 1999.
Whereas the officers of the club and committee members were elected. His Grace the Duke of Richmond and Gordon kindly consented to become the club's president, with Derek Bell and Rob Wilson Vice Presidents. The club is now registered with the Motor Sports Association (MSA). | Added by Steve Tarrant

James Gilder has had to resign from the membership secretary's role, on the advice of his doctor. A new membership secretary will be appointed at the AGM, Kirk Elleker is doing this job along with many others at present. | Added by Sputnik421

Marshal's View
|
All posts are on raised banking (at least 3-4 tractor tyres high). Majority have roofed shelters (without sides). | Added by Steve Tarrant
