General Notes
|
The QFML is now in its 21st year with some 70+ members aged from 16 to 60+. Yearly membership is $5.00 and a Club safety shirt is $20.00. Obtaining a Motorcycling Queensland licence is also encouraged by the Club and is only $15.00 for 3 years and as you gain experience can be up graded to higher levels if you so desire.
Our Clubrooms are located at Underwood on the south side of Brisbane and meetings are usually held on the fourth Tuesday of the month.
We also have marshals who flag at car meetings as well and have contacts with other states around Australia so if you are visiting us please feel free to contact us and we will try and help you any way we can.

We flag and fill other marshaling roles at motorbike meetings around South-East Queensland. We cover road racing, dirt bike, speedway, motorcross and supermotard meetings mainly but have been asked to flag at other forms of the sport. We cover meetings from Queensland Raceway south to the Gold Coast, north to Yandia and Conondale west as far as Stanthorpe, Warwick, Toowoomba, as well as around the Brisbane and Ipswich tracks. | Added by wafwotam 09/06/2003 10:46

Benefits
What sets this club apart from the rest?
|
Get to see some of Australia’s top riders and at times some of the best from around the world race free of charge and quite often meeting them after racing has finished at a BBQ.
Stand at the closest spot to the track that safety allows and watch the action sometimes only meters from you position
Great commaraderie amongst members on and off the track,
Free lunch and drinks on race day,
Club newsletter and calendars sent to all members
A chance to flag at club level meetings and watch the junior riders progress through the classes as they gain experience all hoping one day to become champions.
At the end of the day leave the track knowing that you have done your part in trying to make the sport as safe as possible for everyone one out there.

Training
|
Most of our training is done at the track, if you have never flagged before you will be placed with an experienced marshal. When we have a number of new members we have held training days at our clubrooms.
If you wish to upgrade your Motorcycling Queensland licence you must attend a training day held by MQ every few months before finial approval can be granted.
