Zolder

Getting There

From Brussels: take the A3 / E40 towards Liege, at junction Heverlee take the A2 / E314 to Leuven, Diest and Holland. Take exit 27, turn left and carry on for 1 mile. Entry to the track is on the right.

From Antwerp: take the A13 / E313 to Liege. At junction Lummen take the A2 left to Holland. Exit 27.

Calais-Gent-Brussels-Zolder or Calais-Gent-Antwerp-Zolder is only half a mile difference.
The Brussels way looks easier, but the better way is Antwerp, less traffic and less speedtraps.

On Arrival

Passes for marshals will be handed out at the track. When you arrive at the Main Gate, just mention you are a marshal and they will let you carry on. At this point you are still outside the track.
Drivers and spectators will be directed to the right at the Main Gate, the circuit tunnel is 300m to the right.
There is a one way system at the bigger events, but only at the main gate.

Signing On

Signing on is at the MCZ Parking. Turning off the main road from the motorway (1 mile), go via the Main Gate entrance (Parking 69). Take left at the end, 200 m on, turn right. Another 200m and the entrance for marshals is on the right. (Narrow gate!)
Signing on is always at:
friday: 1 pm (bar 3 or 4 times, when it is at 8 am)
saturday: 7.45 am
sunday: 8.45 am
Briefing is there 30 min later.

Lunch / Circuit Customs

There are two restaurants / pubs to eat, one in the paddock and one near the Tunnel (Wheels Café). In the paddock there is one decent place where you can buy some french (belgian?) fries.
As a marshal you can drive to your post and park there or nearby.
Teams or drivers are only allowed to take 1 private car into the paddock.
Strict no-engine-may-run rule during curfew time. Yep, this means pushing or towing a car to the assembling area.
Outside of the track there are some very good pubs or restaurants within easy reach.

The facilities are very good here, maybe not enough, but very clean. You have to pay for this service, but it is money well spent. Marshals are often allowed in for free.

Marshal's Perspective

Always runs on time, no late finishes here (curfew). A smooth running organisation (most of the times), friendly atmosphere for the marshals.
The Chief Marshal is always ready to help. A close knit group of friends running the whole show gives Zolder a warm and easy feel.
Not to difficult to get in, even without passes, as long as you behave. If you don't, it will bite back, hard!

Camping

There are two sites within the track.
One is a proper campsite with decent facilities (+32 11 858888 or Email: camping@circuit-zolder.be) or there is a weekend place next to the marshals carpark. No facilities there, but the paddock is never far away at Zolder.
