Sandown is located just off the Princess Highway (Dandenong Rd) in the Sth Eastern Melbourne suburb of Springvale aprox 20km from the CBD.

Access is via the Pricess Highway Overpass, Alamein St (Off Corrigan Rd, or Sandown Rd off Springvale Rd. At some small events or track hires only Sandown Rd may be open.

The other roads shown in the map above do not access the track.

At the larger events sign on at Credentials and collect your passes (don't forget to ask for a guest pass or you wont get one). Credentials staff will be able to direct you to the location of the officials briefing and officials car park.

At the smaller events sign on is located in a spare garage in pit lane, gate staff will direct you to the officials car park.

As mentioned above sign on is at Credentials at the larger events and once only for the event.

Sign on is in a pit garage at the smaller events and is a daily affair.

There were two circuit configurations until early 2002.

Sandown is built around the perimeter of a Horse racing track and a recent upgrade of the horse racing track has resulted in the loss of the not often used Long Circuit extension which was built in 1984 for a round of the World Sports Prototype series (also in 1987).
