Welcome to the Marshals' Post Website!
This site is dedicated to the people in orange that help make motorsport happen.
The site contains information on circuits around the UK and overseas that is of particular use to marshals; such as good posts to work, sign-on points, places to park and many other useful bits and pieces. We also now have an image gallery for you to upload your photos.
The approach we take is slightly different to other websites - it is you, the user, that contributes to the content. When you sign up, you are then able to enter details on circuits, posts and clubs, and even upload your photos to share your experiences with other users. As a registered user you also get a free email alias of yourname@marshalspost.com !
In association with Ten-Tenths, we have possibly the best motorsport forum on the net, with discussion topics ranging from Formula 1 to club racing and a dedicated Marshalling forum for you to chat about rescue techniques or brag about the wierdest thing you've seen on a circuit .
If you're a weathered marshal or just wondered why we do what we do I hope you enjoy this website!

Quick-Start Guide to the Maycom AR-108 Scanner
Dave Brand has rather kindly produced a quick-start guide to the ubiquitous Maycom AR108 scanner.
The guide contains details of the most common operations.
It can be found here.

Marshalling Bears!
"A firend" has contacted me asking to publicise his new site Marshalling Bears, a site dedicated, in his words, to the large number of bears that drag their owners to circuits all over the country to marshal at all types of race events!
So, get on over there and support this new light-hearted, but extremely important, new venture!

History of Brands Hatch
Hi,
I am writing a book about Brands and it is going to be about the circuit and the people, rather than just a re-hash of contemporary race reports. It will cover motorbike as well as car racing and will include details of all circuit configurations. I'd be very interested to hear your memories and anecdotes, so please mail me at chas@chasparker.co.uk with any information you have.
The book is to be published by Haynes next spring, but my deadline is the end of September. I've already interviewed people like John Webb and have more or less got the overall history complete. I now want to talk to drivers, marshals etc. and I'm interested in what it is like to marshal at the circuit today, not just in the past.
Best regards,
Chas

Volunteers in Motorsport
Hi
You may have heard of the Volunteers in Motorsport project. This is an initiative funded by a small amount of Government money and supported by the MSA and the ACU. It aims to improve issues such as recruitment, retention, training, the grading scheme etc.
Run by a project manager, Sue Sanders - Peppitt (long time rally marshal and Deputy clerk for the RAC rally or whatever it is called now.) There are about 20 people like me helping her by sitting on various discussion groups.
One of the activities is a website at www.VolunteersInMotorsport.co.uk.
Many thanks.
Jim
